I have known Donna Dall for over 7 years and we met soon after arriving in Australia in early 2013. Cam had a coach before we left South Africa and upon arriving in Brisbane I knew we needed to form a relationship with a local coach with Cam being only 12 at the time.
Fortunately we belonged to the same MTB club at that time known as Brisbane South MTB Club, now commonly known as RATS Cycling Club which lead to our introduction to Donna.
We never procrastinated, which has led to a long, successful and meaningful relationship with Donna as Cam’s coach but also as close family friends with Matt, her husband, and her whole family who play a very important role too.
As a coach you don’t get much better than Donna! She certainly gives more than many coaches can afford to give and is always doing that little bit extra and specific to each athlete to assist them in achieving their goals. Having cycled and raced for many years, albeit on a more social & local level, I did recognise the importance of engaging with a coach that I as a parent had access to and most importantly that my son would grow to trust and never doubt the plan.
As many of you will know, Donna has led Cam to many successes on the bicycle but more importantly has also mentored Cam and almost been a second parent to him which is the level she goes to and something very hard to find in a coach nowadays.
Having formed a very close friendship with Donna and her husband Matt, I have travelled far & wide with them to events locally and internationally where I have experienced Donna first hand unselfishly giving of her time to fellow coaches, organisations, other competitors and parents for her knowledge and experience BUT not at the detriment of her athletes.
Her athletes mean everything to her and I have witnessed her many times on the sidelines “racing the race” with her athletes one after the other each day at events and to get home utterly exhausted.
As a parent and cycling enthusiast I recommend Donna highly to anyone seeking that special something rather than a generic training plan to achieve those extra special goals and ambitions.
Feel welcome to reach out for my personal recommendation through social media or around at the races and reach for the stars.
